GMTA Junior Summer Team Tennis

Summer Team Tennis is a decades old program catering to juniors players in the Madison area. This program has been an integral stepping stone for young players in their competitive tennis skill development. GMTA Summer Team Tennis has given beginning competitive players the initial experience necessary to reach the highest levels in WIAA State competition and beyond.

Summer Team Tennis is a seven week program designed for boys and girls, 18 years of age and younger. This is a competitive program only. Players must be able to serve, keep score, and make line calls. Individuals are matched up with opponents by ability/experience level for the best competitive play possible.

The program begins the first Tuesday after all schools are released for summer break. Sessions meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays, except for the first and last week. Tuesday June 12 and Wednesday June 13 will be practice days and Thursday June 14 will be the first match day. All other days on the schedule will be match days. Rainouts will not be made up. The end of season tournament will take place July 24-26 with medals going to top finishers. Transportation to away matches is provided by the parents. Please be aware… some sites do not have readily available water sources, so players are responsible for bringing their own container filled with water.
