11 courts.  Bring your racket, a can of balls, and enough energy to play tennis for almost four hours.  Partners and competition provided.  Play is usually doubles - it depends upon the turn-out.  Great way to play in the Winter.  Meet new tennis buddies.

Different "sign-up" formats on Monday and Friday nights:

Monday nights use the standard sign-up format which is 5 sessions of 45 minutes each and you are assigned to a court.

*Friday nights have the special "split" early and late sign-up sessions as follows:

First two sessions:  The first 44 people to sign up will pay $5 (non-GMTA member $7) and they will be guaranteed to play the first two sessions at 6:00 and at 6:55.  The first 44 people in first two sessions cannot sign up for the last two sessions until 7:50 PM.

Second two sessions:  The next 44 people to sign up will pay $5 (non-GMTA member $7) and they will be guaranteed to play the second two sessions at 7:55 and at 8:50.  If there are slots open for the third and fourth sessions, then those who played the first two sessions will have an opportunity to play the last two sessions and pay an additional $5 (non-GMTA member $7).

Helpful advice:  Just as those who want to play the first sessions tend to arrive around 5:30, it would be advisable for those who want to play in the last two sessions to arrive around 7:30.  Players in the first two sessions who also want to play the last two sessions will be allowed to sign up at 7:50 PM.

Note:  Parties are open to all members over age 18.  Members 18 or younger are welcome if accompanied by an adult and the adult plays with the one youth he/she brings.

GMTA works to provide compatibility in our matches-but participants should be aware that this is a drop-in, social event, and players of differing ability may, at times, be paired on the same court.

This GMTA event is a match play format and is not instructional in nature. Participants should be comfortable with the basic skills of tennis.
